Gymnastics

Today I watched gymnastics. It was China verses. U.S.A. I didn’t know who I should cheer for, because I am Chinese and American, so I just watched. First it was uneven bars. China was first. It was a sixteen year old girl, but she looked smaller than sixteen year old girl. She jumped on the bar, and then she did handstands and swung like a monkey. She released and jumped on to the high bar. I thought it was very hard to do that. She did a few splits on the bar. Then she grabbed on to the low bar. After she grabbed on, her hands slipped and she fell off. Now she was a little nervous since she fell down. She got up and got on the bar. She started from her mistake. After she was done, her score wasn’t very low. The girl from team U.S.A. went on the bars too. She was pretty good and didn’t fall. Her landing wasn’t so good though. Her score was lower than Chinese girl’s.

The next competition was the vault. A little girl from China started. She ran to a spring board, did a cartwheel and landed on the vault on her hands instead of her feet. She then jumped off and span in the air, twist and turning. Then she made a perfect landing. I couldn’t believe how well her landing was. I think China’s very good at gymnastics. I wonder how they’re so flexible. It was a wonderful competition.
