Acadia (Day 3)

On the third day, my dad drove us to sandy beach. We got out of the car and went to see if the water was cold. I went in. It was freezing. I ran out before the second wave came. When I was playing on the sand, I found a feather. My mom wrote:

Christine

&

Jasmine

in the sand. I found another feather for Jasmine too. We saw a pond and the water wasn’t cold. I saw a sand dune and I build one out of sand. I built a mini dune with grass on top. My sister found a pile of rocks and built a castle. We played with sand for a while and had to go.

We continued to walk to thunder hole. The sound wasn’t loud because the tide was small, so we kept on walking. We went on rocks. It was fun. Sometimes it moved. It was pretty easy.

We stopped at Otter Cliff and my dad went to get the car because we were tired. The rest of us kept on walking. We stopped and I and grandma started throwing rocks. When we looked back my mom was gone. I was scared. My grandma told me to go forward and go looking for her. We walked a little more and still couldn’t find my mom. We went back and saw my dad. We told my dad that my mom were gone. He said they were in the car. We walked back and they were there. We saw blueberries near the parking area and we picked one for me and one for my sister. We went in the car and went to lunch in Jordan pond house.

Mom said we were going to have lunch at the Jordan pond house again. I liked Jordan pond so I was excited. We got out of the car and my mom got a beeper and we waited. It didn’t take long. When we were ready we went to our table. I had salad the first time I came and I didn’t like it so I ordered the yummy sandwich this time, adult size. I liked the sandwich and clam chowder. They were delicious. After the nice lunch, we were ready to go.

We went to Cadillac Mountain. We found blue dots and followed them. When there were no blue dots, we looked for piles of rocks. My sister was in the front. I noticed that we climbed very fast because we were far from where we started. We were close to the gorge and my dad decided we should go back. My sister was in the front. I was disappointed she was in the front again. We finally got there.
