A trip to the Honeypot Hill Farm
Finally when our bags were full, we went to the maze. It was a hedge maze. We all got an apple stamp and we went in. My sister was in the front. It was one way first but then we came to a turn. We could choose left of right. We turned left and finally got to the center. We found our way out.
Next we went to the tunnel maze. I wasn’t happy that parents weren’t allowed. I took off my shoes. I crawled inside with my sister close behind. It was dark. I was frightened so I crawled as fast as I could across. The next room had pretty lights. I told my sister to come. We followed the lights. More people came and they were sisters too. So we all helped each other get out. It was like the lights were guiding us. We finally got out. We got a balloon. I had so much fun. I wished I could go again. I had enough fun for today so we went home.

Tennis - Nadal
I liked to watch tennis and I liked to watch Nadal playing. Right now he was on TV. Grandma told me Nadal’s playing and ran over to the TV room and started watching. It was Nadal’s turn to serve the ball. Grandma said every time before Nadal serves, he pulls his pants. I thought he pulled his pants up, but when I watched he pulled his pants down. When I looked at his face, I saw that his mouth was tilted sideways.
Weight lifting
I wanted to see what was on Olympics. There is only lifting weights. It was kind of fun to watch. The first athlete was German. He was going to lift a very heavy weight. He looked like he had big muscles. Grandma was watching too and she said it’s as heavy as four of my dad. Mom said when she lifted a 15 lb dumbbell, it was heavy for her. The German man was going to lift 247 Kg. We didn’t know how he could lift it.
He first tried to lift barbell up. When he got it off the ground, he held it for a while. He bended his legs and pulled it up. Then he stood up, straight and he pushed his arms above his head. He did it. It looked like it was easy for him. He wasn’t breathing very hard.
Next athlete was lifting the same weight. He lifted the barbell to his chest, but dropped it. Some more athletes took turn to lift. Then the German guy was going to lifted a weight heavier than anybody else. If he lifted this weight, he would beat everybody and get a gold medal. He lifted it all the way up until his arms were straight above his head. He got a gold medal.
10 meter diving
Today I wanted to watch Olympics. I turned to the TV, there was only 10 meter diving. Grandma said it is like jumping from our 3rd floor to the ground. I thought that was high. I asked grandma why there were two divers. She said not only the movement should be good, they should be identical. That was very hard to do. Chinese team was up to jump. The difficulty was 3.4. I didn’t know if it was hard or not. They jumped, flipped forward in the air and stretched out straight. They landed in the water with a splash. It was a small splash. They looked like a needle going into the water. I thought the Chinese team was good because they were identical and splash wasn’t big.
Next was an
Beach Volleyball -- May & Walsh
In the morning I wanted to watch Olympic Games. I turned the TV on and I saw fencing. I didn’t like fencing so I turned to beach Volleyball. Misty May and Kerrie Welsh were playing. I like to watch them play because they play very well. Welsh is good at hitting the ball so the other team wouldn’t catch the ball.
I saw that they had already started playing. May and Welsh were winning. It was 16 to 11. It was May’s turn to serve. She didn’t do it good thought, the ball hit the net. Now the other team served the ball too hard, the ball went over the back line. I thought it was funny because each team gave each other a point.
It happened a few times, then May and Welsh was close to winning, because they had 20 points and one more point until they would win. The other team served the bal far, but Welsh dived and saved the ball. May slipped and pushed it up, and then Welsh smashed it over the net. The other team saved it and just when it was crossing the net, Welsh pushed it over. The ball landed where there were no players.
Gymnastics
Today I watched gymnastics. It was
Michael Phelps 200m free style
Today I wanted to watch Olympics swim competition. Michael Phelps is a swimmer for team
The game was going to be held in the water cube. The water cube looked like a cube with bubbles. The bubbles were usually blue, but sometimes they were rainbow.
When Michael was getting ready, the man that was talking about Olympics was introducing all of the swimmers to us. When he introduced Michael he said all he did was eat, swim, and sleep. And he snored very loudly and it was funny to me.
Now everybody was ready. I was eager to see Michael swim. I had no doubt Michael was going to get to be first place. I really wanted to watch. Everybody was getting ready to jump. Finally they jumped. Michael jumped the farthest. There was something weird about his rhythm. His arm were 1-2-rest, 1-2-rest and I thought it made him faster. His feet were where the other swimmers head were, but they couldn’t catch up with Michael. It was the last round and he kicked the wall very hard when he turned. When he was almost there, he kept his head down until he reached the wall. He won!
Michael got out of the water and searched for his mom in the crowd. When he saw her, he smiled and his teeth were shining white. They put the gold medals on Michael. They were singing star spangled banners. The competition was fantastic.
Olympic Opening Ceremony
Today I was going to watch Olympic opening Ceremony on TV at night. I was so excited. I always wanted to stay up late. I ate my dinner as fast as I could. However, there was still time. It was going to be at 8:00. So I just went to sit with my dad watching TV. Then my sister came. It was boring to watch TV. After a while I looked at the clock again, it was almost time. So I went back to sit down. Then after a few minutes, it started. I was happy and excited.
First there were people with drums. But I thought this wasn’t as exciting as I thought it was. But just then I saw them take sticks out. I thought they would used that to hit the drums. They did. Then they turned off the lights. The sticks glowed in the dark. It was so cool. It wasn’t boring to me anymore. The sticks were red and bright, it was fun watching.
Now it was people selling things on TV like commercial. But then it went back to Olympics Opening Ceremony. They had a paper lying on the ground, at first I didn’t know what it was for. Then people came and started dancing. Their hands had mittens on it. They could draw. They danced while they drew it. It was amazing how they did it. They were drawing lines and I was excited to see what they would draw. So I waited. But wait long until they were done. Then I saw they drew mountains with a sun. It looked like one of the paintings of nature. It was wonderful.
Then my mom said they would light the torch. I didn’t know what she meant but I wanted to wait and see. Then there was somebody holding a torch with fire on it. Then he started running. I didn’t get it. Then I saw another person with a torch, but it didn’t have fire on it. Then the first person put the torch together. They both had fire now. Now they kept doing it. Then after the last person stopped, I looked around for the torch but I didn’t see it. Then I saw him get lifted up in the air by a string. And then he started running in the air. He looked like he was running on the ground. I wondered when he was going to stop. He walked around the stadium called bird’s nest and he got to a torch. The torch was higher than him and I didn’t know how he could get up. So I watched closely. He put the fire on the side of the torch and the fire went up. It looked stunning. I was amazed the fire wouldn’t die.
After the torch was lit, the opening ceremony ended. I think it was gorgeous how they did all these things. I was very happy but also very tired. Mom and I helped each other upstairs to settle in our nice comfy bed for a good night of sleep.

Climbing Mt. Monadnock
After we were done getting ready, I wanted to help carry the backpack. So I tried it on and could carry the backpack. It wasn’t very heavy for me. We started walking, it was shady. On the way I found a stick. After a while, the backpack was getting heavier, so my grandma took it. We couldn’t find the white dots until we saw the rocks except my mom liked the shade. We finally saw the rocks, but it was getting hot. We climbed the rocks. I threw away my stick. We climbed and climbed, I was getting hot and sweaty. I went in front of my dad and sister. We got higher. When we were halfway, grandma and I stopped to wait for Dad and Jasmine. I had to go under a tree because it is very hot and I want to be in the shade. Then my dad and sister came. We looked at the view down. It looked like a world of little people. The houses were tiny. The pine trees were dark green. After a short rest, we started going again. I felt more energetic. My grandma and I saw a shady path ahead. My mom was glad there was shade. We walked through. It was cool. But then there was sun again. There was a big hill. I girl was trying to get up. I was scared. A man ran up, and then he helped us up. I was happy to be up there.
We were almost at the top. My grandma and I went ahead. My grandma told me to run up the hill, but I started climbing and I stood up slowly. I could run up the hill. Then I saw people near a big big slope. I wanted to go the easy way, but grandma told me to run up. I said OK, but I wasn’t very sure I could do it. So when all the other people went the easy way, I ran up. I was proud that I could do it. Finally we were at the top. I was proud of me and my sister, because a it’s a big mountain and we climbed up the whole thing all by ourselves.
On top of the mountain, we need to pick a spot for lunch. We picked a spot with a puddle underneath. I washed my hands. The water was cold. My mom was scared if I stood at the edge of the mountain because I could fall. but the view was good. We saw people coming up. We could see a lot of
We had a good lunch. After lunch, we started to go down. We went down hill zigzag so we wouldn’t slip. My toes hurt. My mom said her toes hurt too. I was getting tired. We kept going. After we went a little while, I saw a big hill. We went down the big hill. I saw people slipping and sliding. I was scared to go down. My mom saw a place that I could go. I went down. I went onto a rock, there was mud on the rock and I stepped in mud and slipped. My pants were wet. I had to go slowly the rest of the way down.
When we were finally halfway, I sat down to rest. I saw somebody bleeding on his leg. The leg was covered with blood. It looked like it hurt a lot. I was done resting. We kept going. After we went for a while, my toes started hurting again. I went with my grandma. It was getting easier as we got down. The rocks were getting smaller. But my legs were still sore. I couldn’t wait until I could get in the car. I saw places that didn’t have rocks and I was happy that we were close to the car because I was very tired. My grandma said to wait for my dad. My dad had to carry my sister because she was tired. Finally we were back down. It was all flat now. We were happy to be down finally.
Our legs were sore. Especially my dad, I was glad we went. It was fun. We had a very good picnic and I like hiking.

Acadia (Day 3)
On the third day, my dad drove us to sandy beach. We got out of the car and went to see if the water was cold. I went in. It was freezing. I ran out before the second wave came. When I was playing on the sand, I found a feather. My mom wrote:
Christine
&
Jasmine
in the sand. I found another feather for Jasmine too. We saw a pond and the water wasn’t cold. I saw a sand dune and I build one out of sand. I built a mini dune with grass on top. My sister found a pile of rocks and built a castle. We played with sand for a while and had to go.
We continued to walk to thunder hole. The sound wasn’t loud because the tide was small, so we kept on walking. We went on rocks. It was fun. Sometimes it moved. It was pretty easy.
We stopped at Otter Cliff and my dad went to get the car because we were tired. The rest of us kept on walking. We stopped and I and grandma started throwing rocks. When we looked back my mom was gone. I was scared. My grandma told me to go forward and go looking for her. We walked a little more and still couldn’t find my mom. We went back and saw my dad. We told my dad that my mom were gone. He said they were in the car. We walked back and they were there. We saw blueberries near the parking area and we picked one for me and one for my sister. We went in the car and went to lunch in
Mom said we were going to have lunch at the

Acadia (Day 2)
The second day in the morning, we were going biking so we put on sun block. My dad couldn’t get the tag along on. So he had to rent another tag along. When we were done, we rode our bikes to the trail. There was up hills but I had gears. We arrived at the bike trail. It was rocky and I didn’t like it. My mom told me to go on the dirt. It felt much better. We took a break. I was tired and all sweaty. I drank some water. We started biking again. There was a big uphill in front. It was so big. I couldn’t see the top. I changed to gear one. But I stopped a few times. I was tired. Every time I stopped, my mom pushed me. Finally we got to the top. Then it was down hill all the way. I felt much better. I switched to gear 7, the wind was strong. We were stopping near

Acadia (Day 1)
On Saturday morning my family went to
Then we went to our hotel. We got off and mom went to check in while the rest of us waited out side. My mom came out and told us to come in. I was excited to see our room. I helped bring our things in. We went to our room. I went to the window and I could see the pool. I was excited that I can go swimming. I really liked the hotel.
We walked to the sea where I saw a boat that had 4 flags. It looked like a nice place to sail on. My mom told me that it was my dad’s favorite boat. On the boat it said Margaret Todd. There was a big black dog walking on the deck and she was called Maggie. I wanted to keep walking so I told my mom and we kept walking. We walked until I was tired. I told my mom. She said I had to drag myself back.
After the walk, we went to a café to eat dinner. We ordered the food. We waited, waited and waited. I was already yawning. It felt like it would never come. But finally it came. I had Alfredo penne. My mom said her chicken didn’t taste good.

Southwick Zoo
First I fed the dear corn. My dad fed a deer that was brown. Then the deer fell in love with my dad. It wouldn’t stop following my dad. It was chewing on my dads backpack. It kissed my dad on the legs. Finally the deer went away.
Then I saw a bad naughty monkey. It stared at us, and then showed us its peepee. It copied us. It stuck its tongue out. When it walks, the tail sticks straight up. It walked on all four legs. It uses its tail to help it climb.
When we were heading home, I saw a kangaroo woke up from its nap in the shade. It was jumping; it jumped on its tippy toes. It has long back legs. Its front legs aren’t moving. Its tail balanced when it jumps. The kangaroo can sit on its tail with its legs on the ground. It is the most energetic one. The other kangaroos were just digging or napping.
When we were just about to go through the gate, we saw the zookeeper. She was putting a scarlet macaw in a go-cart. She said its name was Vicky. It could say “hello”, and “good morning”. It said “hello” in a clear voice. Vicky liked to dance. It nodded its head when it danced.
Jasmine and I were tired. We went home. I ad fun, the animals were cute and funny.

Nashua river bike trail
Jerry didn’t have training wheels, Vivian didn’t have any either. We started riding, bug Jerry’s pedals kept on falling off, so Jerry’s mom came. My dad went to get his tools, when he came back, he couldn’t fix it. So Jerry and Vivian went home.
Dad and I kept going. I fell when I stopped to cross the road. I didn’t cry. But it hurt. When I felt better, I started going faster. I saw my dad do tricks like both hands off the bike, standing on the bike with one foot and pedaling while standing.
I saw people selling food like water, and cookies and lemonade. I wanted the cookies and lemonade on the way back. We kept riding until finally we arrived at the ice cream shop. I ordered strawberry ice cream. When we finished, we started going back.
On the way back, I got a thorn stuck in my tire. I got a flat tire. My dad fixed part of it, then a man came, he had a pump and pumped the air in. then the bike was fixed and I started riding and was careful of the thorns.
My dad’s cell phone rang. He picked up the phone. After he was done talking, he told me to stop at the pond. I stopped; I took a picture of a beaver dam. My mom and little sister came. We took a rest. We started heading back. My mom and I arrived first, then my sister came. I was proud my sister rode 4 miles.

Martha’s Vineyard
It took us 2 hours to get there. Jasmine and I wanted a movie on the way there. We arrived at the bike trail. I took my bike out. My dad and sister were first, then me and my mom. On the way to the ferry, we saw the ocean. The ocean was blue and green. It was sparkling. Finally I saw the ferry. It was a big boat; there could be cars on the boat. My family gave the man our bikes, and then we went to the top of the boat and sat down. I heard the load horn, I ate some food and we were there.
On the second day, in the morning, I woke up at 5:30 and got dressed. I went out with my mom and dad. I saw the light from the sun. The sky was blended with Pink, Purple, Red, Grey,
On Friday, we went to a bike trail. My mom and I started riding; we had to ride on the road. It was a bumpy road. My teeth clattered. Finally the road was smooth, I tried to take one hand off and I did it. I was so excited. I pretended I had a cell phone. Daddy showed us he could take both hands off. My mom said she couldn’t do that. I told her I would try that. I took both hands off slowly and I did it. I did a lot of biking, we biked 20 miles. I was happy I learned a lot of tricks.
I had a good vacation. I loved biking. I wished I could ride more. It was fun biking. I never had so much fun.
